I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus and count them but rubbish.

False Prophets

I was going to blog about this but Fisher of Menbeat me to it. That is ok b/c he has saved me the grunt work. He said what I was thinking and more. Good job.

But this really brought home what is happening in this movement. It is really scary b/c some of the signs that we hear about in 2 Peter 2 really come home.

From the interview the main things that stood out to me that Peter talks about was two things. One is the idea that they have some form of superior knowledge. Todd is just narrow minded, he doesn’t get it. Then the other was the arrogance of Pagitt. When Todd presented questions he did not like or areas he didn’t want to go into he acted like Todd was being archaic and that the questions were beneath him. Clear sign of a false teacher.

But either way please read this. I think we are really in a shaky time in the evangelical world.

  1. There are way too many people out there, who have no idea who and what they are listening to. We must be careful of fasle prophets and fasle teachers. There are way too many of them out there.

  2. I was not aware of how off they were. I knew they were a little weak in some areas but to refuse to comment on some foundational truthes like sin, heaven/hell and Christ being the true way is way off.
