I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus and count them but rubbish.

Million Dollar Momma

Have a great story to tell you all. I heard it and praised the Lord for the boldness of a very quiet person.

My mom and I were driving and she was telling me that the other day she went to the doctor and then had to stop by at Wal-Mart. She said on the way in there was a charity group gathering money for recovery for various addictions. She is always a giver if she thinks they are legit. Not much but a couple bucks for them.

She told me that they went into their big long speech about the importance of supporting this kind of recovery. She listened patiently letting him do his job. Once finished she handed him a few dollars. He responded by saying, “Thank you so much this helps, God Bless you.” He quickly turned and walked away moving on to the next person. My mother said she usually is not so bold but this time she was. She said she blurted out, “Hey, wait,” to which the man turned around and looked back, “I listened to what you had to say now its your turn to listen to me.”

She said that she dug into her purse and grabbed a few Million Dollar tracts I had passed on to her. “Here you need to read this,” she said she didn’t elaborate as she was rushed. “You need to read this and when you fully understand it pass these others on to someone else.” She left it at that and went her way, but looking back she said that they were reading the tracts intently.

Its a valuable lesson there. If my mother who is generally quiet and reserved can be bold in the name of Jesus Christ how in the world can we not be? It takes nothing to hand out gospel tracts. NOTHING!
